Stamp Design 6

Together, As One United People is a stamp issue that marks Singapore’s 59 Years of Nationhood.
The set of 4 stamps took inspirations from the common tables and seats in the void deck of the Housing Board flats in the heartland of Singapore. The drawing board started with four sets of empty tables and seats, then slowly but surely people in their daily activities began to arrive. In my mind, the scenes are like an animation. The characters are constantly moving in the pictures: entering and exiting the scenes, they are chatting, they are playing, discussing, they are exchanging goods etc.
